I remember this picture. The family of Thomas cole sent him a copy of the cover of Life magazine which he showed all of the Co C medics in the 15th Medical Battalion, 1st Cavalry Division (Air). He was just sent to an infantry unit as a medic to fill the gap of the killed medics during that campain.
